The State Bureau of Investigation has arrested General Halushkin again, for whom bail was posted today

Law enforcement agencies have discovered new evidence in the case of the border breach in the Kharkiv region. The former commander of Operational Tactical Group "Kharkiv," Yuriy Halushkin, has been detained.

This is reported by the  State Bureau of Investigation.

In the framework of the criminal investigation concerning commanders’ negligence during the defence of a part of the Lypetsk rural territorial community in the Kharkiv district, it was established that the former commander of Operational Tactical Group "Kharkiv" incorrectly assessed the enemy’s potential and the situation in the area of responsibility, and his actions also contributed to the unauthorized retreat of fighters from the 125th Territorial Defence Brigade.

"The military commander ignored the available intelligence information, assessed the Russian advance in this area as ’unlikely,’ and accordingly gave orders to subordinates that did not match the actual situation, which ultimately led to tragic events on the front line," the report states.

Due to miscalculations in command and the unauthorized withdrawal from occupied positions by fighters and some units of the 125th Territorial Defence Brigade, as noted by the Bureau, strategic initiative was lost, and the enemy managed to penetrate the brigade’s defence zone up to 10 km, allowing them to once again shell Kharkiv with artillery.

As a result of these actions, during the first day of the enemy’s advance alone, nearly a hundred servicemen were wounded, killed, or went missing. The former commander has been detained.
