The SSU uncovered another informant for Russian special services. She was extracting information about the Armed Forces of Ukraine through her deserter nephew.
This was reported by the press center of the Security Service of Ukraine.
The individual was identified as a 38-year-old resident of Toretsk, Donetsk region, who moved to the Vinnytsia region at the beginning of the full-scale war, where she registered as a displaced person and began working for the FSB.
The woman was soliciting information from her nephew, who was a contract serviceman and had deserted from one of the Ukrainian military units, hiding in Toretsk. She was extracting from the deserter information about the deployment points of the Defence Forces and the consequences of enemy shelling.
This data was transmitted by the woman to her Russian handler via messenger. Afterward, she deleted all correspondence from her phone.
The SBU notes that the informant attempted to hide by moving to the Kirovohrad region and severing contacts with the FSB. However, the SSU found the woman and detained her in a rented apartment.
During a search of the enemy accomplice’s residence, a mobile phone with evidence of her cooperation with the Russian special service was seized.
The SSU has opened a criminal case and announced suspicion under Part 3 of Article 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The woman is in custody, facing up to 12 years in prison.
