In Nizhyn, located in the Chernihiv region, a man born in 1963 died in a residential house fire.
This was reported by Kateryna Yarylovets, the spokesperson of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service in the Chernihiv region.
"The fire occurred on February 6 at 12:15. The probable cause of the fire is a short circuit in the electrical network. The fire damaged the floor over an area of one square meter."
According to the spokesperson, a total of six fires occurred in the Chernihiv region on February 6. Since the beginning of 2025, 19 people have died in fires.
