Employees of the IAEA, who are present at the Chornobyl NPP, heard an explosion near the sarcophagus over the destroyed reactor around 01:50.
A fire broke out as a result of the incident.
«They were informed that a drone crashed into the roof of the new safe confinement», – the Agency’s statement says.
