On the morning of February 22, a Russian drone struck a civilian car in Kupyansk in the Kharkiv region. As a result of the attack, two people were injured.
This was reported by the head of the Kupyansk Regional Military Administration, Andriy Kanashevych, writes "Suspilne Kharkiv". An elderly couple suffered multiple injuries.
According to him, the enemy drone strike occurred around 09:15 AM in Kupyansk. At that time, the elderly couple was traveling on the road.
"The injured, aged 63 and 56, were hospitalized. The vehicle was destroyed by fire," – reported the Kharkiv Regional Police.
They added that an investigative team arrived at the site where the Russian UAV hit the civilian vehicle that was moving along the highway, on the way out of Kupyansk.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated on the war crime under Article 438 of the Ukrainian Criminal Code.
Kanashevych noted that today’s attack happened almost at the same place where the day before a Russian drone struck a police car. At that time, three police officers suffered concussions. The enemy used a "Molniya" type drone.
In addition, on the morning of February 22, Russian troops struck the settlement of Prykolotne in the Vilkhuvatka community. According to preliminary data, a munition hit an open area, and information regarding possible damages and casualties is still being clarified.
