The National Bank sold a record 1.2 billion dollars in a week

From February 17 to 21, the NBU sold $1.19 billion on the interbank market – this is the largest amount since the beginning of the year.

Currency sales rose sharply compared to $670.3 million the previous week.

This is one of the highest sales levels since the beginning of the full-scale war. The NBU sold more only in December 2024 and May 2022. Last week, the bank did not purchase any currency at all.
