On the night of February 28, Russian occupiers launched a massive attack on Kharkiv with strike drones. Hits were recorded in different parts of the city.

"Russian troops launched massive strikes on the Kyivskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, and Novobavarskyi districts of Kharkiv, as well as the Kharkiv district of the region. A medical facility, residential buildings, a shopping center, stores, a gas station, a car dealership, and other civilian infrastructure were damaged. A fire-rescue unit building was also affected - windows, doors, and gates were broken," the statement said.
There were four fire outbreaks.
One of the drones hit a three-story medical facility building, causing a fire on the roof. The joint efforts of rescuers, police, medics, and volunteers evacuated 64 people, including 56 patients and a child.
According to the spokesperson of the Kharkiv regional prosecutor’s office Dmytro Chubenko, the Russians launched at least 9 Shahed-type drones at Kharkiv.
As a result of the explosions, at least seven people (5 women and one man) were injured, including a 6-year-old boy. All of them have either an acute stress reaction or non-life-threatening injuries.
In the Shevchenkivskyi district, two hits near high-rise buildings shattered hundreds of windows. In addition, one drone hit near a hospital. Dozens of patients were evacuated there. Another drone hit a private residential house in the Shevchenkivskyi district.
In the Kyivskyi district, the enemy hit a gas station and a closed office center. In the Novobavarskyi district, a single-story residential building came under attack.
