The NACP has concealed the declarations of the new Deputy in the Prosecutor General’s Office, Dmytro Petrov

The NACP has removed the declarations of the new Deputy Head of the Department of International Legal Cooperation of the Prosecutor General’s Office, Dmytro Petrov, from public access.

It was previously noted that Dmytro Petrov, prior to his appointment, had been involved in illegal schemes in the migration service of Kyiv and the region for three years.

Currently, all of Petrov’s declarations are absent in the NACP. This concerns about three dozen reporting documents.

Let us remind you that there were previous mentions of Petrov’s illicit wealth in 2017 when he also worked in a similar position. At the age of 33, he acquired a significant amount of property, despite not working in business.

Dmytro Petrov began working in the prosecutor’s offices immediately after graduating from the National Academy of Prosecutors at the age of 22, in the position of assistant in the Prosecutor’s Office of the Chernivtsi region. Later, he worked as the deputy prosecutor of the Novgorod-Siversky district. In 2011, by order of the Prosecutor General, Dmytro Petrov was appointed as the prosecutor of the Korop district. After the Revolution of Dignity, he transferred to the Prosecutor General’s Office.

The main source of income is the salary as an employee of the GPU. However, in 2015, Dmytro Petrov also received substantial income from the sale of real estate and movable property. He received a minor income from the sale of property in 2016 as well.

In 2015, prosecutor Petrov sold two apartments: one in the Pechersk district of the capital with an area of 44 sq.m, and another in his hometown of Vyshneve with an area of 65 sq.m. Regarding the sale of movable property, it was a Toyota Prado (2012). Dmytro Petrov was registered in an apartment with an area of 80 sq.m in Kyiv, belonging to Olha Zakrevska. Note that this property is declared as the place of registration, not residence.

In 2015, Dmytro Petrov declared the purchase of two land plots at a very attractive price. In the same year, the declaration also includes two unfinished houses of 152 and 279 sq.m in the village of Khodosivka, Kyiv region. From the real estate rights register, we learn that Dmytro Petrov acquired another land plot in Khodosivka in 2016, but no expenditures for the purchase of the third plot were found in the declaration.

In 2016, Dmytro Petrov bought a new car, a Toyota Corolla (2016), a quad bike, and a trailer. The young prosecutor also owned a BRP GTI 130 (2013) jet ski acquired in 2013 and two more trailers.

The representative of the Prosecutor General’s Office also managed to save significantly. Dmytro Petrov declared cash amounting to 134 thousand dollars. Of course, since 2017, the NACP has not conducted a single full review of Petrov.
