In Sumy, the number of people injured as a result of a missile strike by Russian occupiers on March 24 has increased. Seventy-one adults and 23 children were injured.
This was reported by the Sumy City Council.
The city council noted that, at this moment, it is known about 94 injured persons. Previously, it was reported about 88 injured from the Russian attack.
"According to updated data from the health department, 23 children were injured," the city hall reported.
Seventy-one adults and 17 children sought medical assistance. Five received assistance on site, 13 are undergoing outpatient treatment, and the rest are hospitalized.
Today, specialists from the State Emergency Service, representatives of the National Police, local government bodies, utility companies, the Sumy branch of "Gas Distribution Networks of Ukraine" LLC, and the regional organization of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine worked at the scene, with a total of 240 people involved.
Rescuers deployed two resilience centers. Psychological assistance was provided by a psychologist from the State Emergency Service.
