The Cabinet of Ministers has expanded the "Contract 18-24" program for the military and the National Guard

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine made amendments to Resolution No. 153 dated February 11, 2025, regarding the implementation of an experimental project to enhance motivation for military service during martial law. It concerns the program "Contract 18-24".

This was stated by the permanent representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk, as reported  with reference to his message on Telegram.

From now on, the "Contract 18-24" program will cover not only the Armed Forces of Ukraine but also the servicemen of the National Guard and the State Border Guard Service.

The changes include expanding the grounds for receiving one-time monetary payments. The reward will be available to those serving in combat conditions, participating in hostilities in temporarily occupied territories, and in areas between the positions of defense forces and aggressor troops.

Additionally, the General Staff of the Armed Forces, the Main Directorate of the National Guard, and the Administration of the State Border Guard Service have been authorized to determine the list of positions for servicemen aged 18 to 25 years. The government also simplified the medical examination procedure, particularly reducing the requirements for visiting a psychiatrist.
