The United States will miss the "Ramstein" meeting on military assistance to Ukraine for the first time


The head of the Pentagon will not participate in the meeting of the Ukraine Defence Contact Group ("Ramstein"), which will take place on April 11 in Brussels.

This is reported by Defence News with reference to sources.

According to the publication, the US will ignore for the first time a meeting where military assistance to Ukraine is discussed. US Secretary of Defence Patrick Hagset will not be present at the summit, but the reasons for his absence are not yet specified.

It is expected that at the meeting, Ukraine’s allies will continue discussing the supply of weapons and ammunition, as well as strengthening the country’s defence capabilities.
