Lieutenant General Ivan Havrylyuk is leaving the position of First Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine.
He announced this in an interview with Suspilne.
He emphasized that he is leaving of his own accord. Ivan Havryliuk did not provide additional details about his decision.
"The Deputy Minister of Defence Ivan Havrylyuk is resigning of his own volition," clarified Oleksiy Honcharenko, a member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine representing the political party "European Solidarity" and a member of the Budget Committee.
According to him, the current head of the Main Logistics Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Mykola Shevtsov, will be appointed to the position of Deputy Minister of Defence instead of Havrylyuk.
