Fighters of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine defeated an assault group of occupiers in Kharkiv region. Russian forces, having suffered a defeat, lost at least eight killed and seven wounded, as well as an IFV and three lightly armored vehicles.
This was reported on April 18th by the operational-strategic grouping of troops "Khortitsa". A video of the powerful combat work of the warriors of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade was also published.
As noted, Ukrainian defenders repelled the enemy’s assault attempt in the Kharkiv direction, where the occupiers involved two IFVs, a buggy, and infantry, intending to break through to the AFU positions.
Once the Russian IFV disembarked the infantry, the fighters of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade immediately destroyed it.
After this, the defenders started eliminating the aggressor’s manpower with artillery and strikes on the landing where the occupiers tried to take hold.
The second enemy fighting vehicle was detected by drones and was also damaged, as reported by the "Khortitsa" OSG.
The Russian buggies, which advanced to provide assistance from another direction, were timely detected from the air and successfully destroyed.
As a result of the failed attack, the aggressor’s army lost at least eight people as "killed in action" and seven as "wounded in action".
In addition, an enemy IFV and three lightly armored vehicles were destroyed.
