Four teenagers who assaulted a serviceman in Hydropark in Kyiv have been charged with hooliganism committed by a group of persons (Part 2 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
This is reported by the press service of the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office.
It has been established that on April 18, a group of teenagers, which included three 17-year-olds and one 15-year-old boy, caused a conflict with a serviceman in Hydropark.
"The man serves in one of the units of the National Guard and arrived in the capital on leave. According to witnesses, at first, the suspects argued with other men, and later started a conflict with the serviceman. The incident was recorded on video by eyewitnesses," the prosecutor’s office noted.
The article’s sanction provides for a punishment of up to 4 years of imprisonment. The pre-trial investigation is conducted by juvenile investigators of the Dnipro District Police Department in Kyiv.
A motion has been submitted to the court to choose a preventive measure for the suspects in the form of house arrest.
