The Pechersk District Court of Kyiv has extended the suspension of Oleksandr Markushyn from the position of mayor of Irpin for another two months. Markushyn himself calls this ruling “corrupt” and claims there is a large-scale raider attack on the community.
This became known from a post by Oleksandr Markushyn on Facebook.
“Today, the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv made another corrupt decision: to extend my suspension as the legitimately elected head of the Irpin community,” Markushyn wrote.
The city’s mayor also called his suspension a scheme of raider seizure.
“Can the judicial system of Ukraine, a country at war, really side with raiders? Karplyuk’s raider scheme is banal: a suspicion is ordered at the SBI, then court decisions are bought. The most valuable decision is the ruling to suspend from office. Then they find a “black registrar,” who for a bribe uses this ruling as a basis to enter Karpliuk’s person into the state register without any legal grounds. My lawyers have already challenged the first such registration of secretary Angela at the Ministry of Justice. By an official order of the Ministry of Justice, Makeyeva was removed from the register; we proved that secretary Angela Makeyeva was holding the position of acting mayor illegally and canceled her initial registration. Today’s decision to extend my suspension prolongs the raiding of the Irpin community for another two months. The cynicism of the fraud is that the deputy corps, employees of the IMR, our residents are being misled. They are forced to legitimize the raider seizure of the community under the guise of “sessions of the IMR,” he wrote.
Markushyn claims that his legal team has also filed an appeal against the new court ruling and is challenging the actions of the registrar.
