Trump in an interview with The Atlantic: "Ukraine will soon be crushed"

Trump noted that «Ukraine will soon be crushed» and that he is helping Ukrainians by seeking to end the war.

"I believe I am saving this nation. This country will soon be crushed. It’s a powerful military machine. If it weren’t for me — I was the one who provided Ukraine with the «Javelins» that destroyed tanks. The way the tanks got stuck in the mud was an important event. I provided a significant number of «Javelins», anti-tank weapons. They destroyed all those tanks when they got bogged down. It was a crucial moment because if those tanks had broken through, they were just 115 kilometers from Kyiv and could have captured it in a day. The war would have ended instantly. I could also say it’s a pity the war continues because many people have died. Many more than reported. And not only soldiers, but civilians too. I can confidently state that I was very helpful because I am saving this country. The Prime Minister of Norway, a very respected man, said that if President Trump hadn’t intervened, the war would never end. I believe I am doing Ukraine a great service (seeking a peaceful resolution - Ed.). I believe it," the US President said in an interview with The Atlantic.
