On Friday, May 9, employees of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine began a search at the Main Directorate of the National Guard of Ukraine. It is being conducted as part of an investigation into violations during tenders and abuse of influence.
Two sources confirmed this to OBOZ.UA. There are no additional details at the moment.
It is known that the Commander of the National Guard of Ukraine is Brigadier General Oleksandr Pivnenko.
It should be noted that in March, the Bureau of Economic Security (BES) discovered violations in a tender for the construction of a multi-story building commissioned by the National Guard.
BES analysts identified potential risks of budgetary losses in the tender for the construction of a multi-apartment building announced by one of the supply bases of the National Guard of Ukraine.
The housing, with a total value of over 78 million UAH, was planned to be built in the Kyiv region.
Analysts found that an unjustified simplified procurement procedure was applied during the tender announcement. Specifically, its subject did not belong to defence-related objects and structures.
BES specialists sent a recommendation letter to the customer, after which the public procurement with violations was canceled.
