Searches by NABU at the Main Directorate of the National Guard of Ukraine: who are the figures in the investigation


Public sources report that NABU is conducting large-scale searches of the entire leadership of the National Guard, including the commander.

The searches are being conducted as part of two criminal investigations related to corruption schemes.

Reportedly, those under investigation include:

- the commander of the National Guard, Brigadier General Oleksandr Pivnenko;

- the director of the logistics department, Colonel Serhiy Hrytsenko;

- his deputies - Colonels Mykola Modlinskyi and Oleksandr Kalatynets;

- the head of the quartering and capital construction department, Colonel Denys Hanaz;

- the head of the Central Production and Technological Assembly Base, Colonel Volodymyr Fedorovskyi;

- the deputy commander of the NGU, Brigadier General Oleksandr Bilous.

According to the investigation, they may have been involved in receiving more than 190 million hryvnias in kickbacks from participation in tenders, as well as embezzling almost 200 million in the procurement of equipment at inflated prices.

The investigation is ongoing, and details are not being disclosed at this time.
