Despite the so-called temporary truce announced by the Russian Federation, Russian troops continued combat actions, attempting to advance towards the Dnipropetrovsk region.
This was reported by the spokesperson of the Southern Defence Forces, Vladyslav Voloshyn, during a telethon.
«The only thing that didn’t happen in the south is that the enemy indeed did not use aviation weaponry. They did not carry out air strikes with guided aerial bombs and missiles during this so-called truce. The rest of the weapons were used by the enemy,» he noted.
The most difficult situation was south of the Donetsk region, in the Novopavlivka direction. According to Voloshyn, there, Russian troops are attempting to advance towards the administrative border with the Dnipropetrovsk region.
«The fact that the enemy is trying to advance towards the Dnipropetrovsk region is undeniable, he seeks it, but the Ukrainian Defence Forces actively destroy them there. Daily, the enemy suffers losses of about 100-150 personnel,» the spokesperson added.
The Ukrainian Defence Forces are actively conducting maneuver defense, luring the enemy into fire traps and destroying their units.
