NABU has been ordered by the court to investigate the "Dubai schemes" of Artem Shylo

NABU detectives refused to enter information into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations (URPI) regarding the alleged illegal assets of former SSU chief Artem Shylo in the UAE.

This involves the purchase of nine real estate properties in Dubai for $4.3 million, which became known thanks to an investigation by "Radio Liberty".

The statement was filed by the coordinator of the legal publication "Conflicts and Laws" Oksana Kotkina, who indicated that Shylo’s wife purchased these properties between December 2021 and June 2022, and then sold them at prices close to the original cost or even higher. The couple’s divorce in January 2023 also raised suspicions of asset concealment.

Despite NABU’s objections, the court recognized the existence of sufficient grounds for investigation and ordered the case to be opened, considering the circumstances of the expensive property acquisition and Shylo’s related activities as a former government official.
