A new multipurpose strike drone "Batyar" has been created in Ukraine, capable of covering a distance of over 800 km.
The UAV is manufactured by the Ukrainian company DeepStrikeTech, which shared details about the drone with "Militarnyi".
Initially, "Batyar" was developed as a kamikaze drone for deep strikes, but over time its capabilities have been expanded.
It can be used as a decoy target, bomber, or a frontline kamikaze drone — depending on the load and software installed.
The 60-kilogram drone with a gasoline engine in the long-range mission variant carries a warhead weighing 18 kg.
One of the development goals was to create a lightweight drone that could be launched from a catapult or a vehicle — without prepared sites or special equipment.
It was claimed that, when descending on a target in a steep dive, the drone can maintain the set course even in a damaged state.
The special shape of the airframe really resembles the Russian-Iranian "Shahed", but the similarity is purely visual. The aerodynamics of "Batyar" were entirely calculated by the company’s engineers, largely based on Western technical documentation.
