The Ukrainian boxer continues to publish posts on social media that are unpleasant for his compatriots. Lomachenko has once again posted a photo with a controversial priest.
With the onset of the full-scale war in Ukraine, athletes have united around supporting their Motherland. Most of them provide financial support and bring glory to the country on the international stage.
However, there are also traitors to Ukraine who continue to act in the interests of the enemy. One of the most prominent examples is the well-known lightweight boxer Vasyl Lomachenko.
The athlete continues to publicly support the banned organization UOC-MP. As reported by the media with reference to Lomachenko’s Facebook, the boxer has posted yet another controversial photo on social media.
The IBF and IBO lightweight champion published a joint photo with Metropolitan Mykhailo Zhar. He is known by the name Longin and is a supporter of the UOC-MP. In the post, Lomachenko quoted a passage from the Bible in Russian.
"Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you. Peace to all," writes Vasyl (in the original language).
