Convicted for corruption, former "Ukrzaliznytsia" official Bohuslavskyi attempts to return to power

Former board member of PJSC "Zaporizhzhya Electric Locomotive Repair Plant" (a structure of "Ukrzaliznytsia") Vladyslav Bohuslavskyi, previously convicted for corruption crimes, is trying to take a state position again.

His criminal history began back in 2016, when he headed the SE "Mine ’Pivdennodonbaska No. 3 named after M.S. Surgaya’". At that time, under his leadership, 25 wagons of coal were illegally transferred to temporarily occupied territory, leading to a criminal case being opened.

In 2017, Bohuslavskyi was detained while receiving a bribe from a commercial company for "permission" to supply products. After the detention, he was taken into custody but managed to avoid responsibility by pleading guilty in court and retaining his position.

In 2019, he again came to the attention of law enforcement in a case concerning the embezzlement of property through abuse of office (case no. 2019080020001692).

According to the audit commission’s reports, in 2019–2020 Bohuslavskyi’s activities as head of the tender committee of PJSC "ZERZ" led to losses for the enterprise amounting to about 2.95 million UAH. This involved the purchase of goods from the company "MZ ’KVIК’" at inflated prices.

Additionally, Bohuslavskyi is accused of manipulating the audit commission to create false conclusions in order to pressure "inconvenient" managers and companies. According to sources, this could have been part of a plan to restore old corruption schemes at repair enterprises of "Ukrzaliznytsia".
