The occupiers carried out 140 attacks on the Sumy region: there are dead and injured


The forces of Russian occupiers conducted 140 shellings in Sumy region during the day of May 28-29. Thirty-nine settlements in 14 communities of the region were under fire. Two civilians were killed, and several others were injured.

This was reported by the press service of the Sumy Regional Military Administration on Telegram.

The Russian army, using aviation, carried out more than 30 strikes with guided bombs on settlements and executed over 20 drone drops. The areas that suffered the most from enemy shellings were the Sumy and Shostka districts.

Russian forces killed or injured five people:

In the Esman community, a 74-year-old woman was killed by a guided bomb strike.

In the Bilopillya community, a man was killed, and a woman was injured as a result of a drone attack.

In the Khotyn community, a person born in 1950 was injured.

In the Berezivka community, a civilian (born in 1991) was injured on May 27.

In the Verkhnosyrovatka community, civilian infrastructure was damaged.

There was partial destruction of a non-residential building followed by a fire. Rescuers extinguished the large-scale fire.

In the Nedryhailiv community, the enemy struck a farmstead. Warehouses with agricultural machinery caught fire.

Emergency service workers inspected the territory; all fire outbreaks were extinguished, according to rescuers in the Sumy region.
