In the morning of June 1, Russian forces attacked Kherson and the settlements of the region, resulting in casualties and injuries.
This was reported by the Kherson Regional Military Administration.
The head of the Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, reported that the Russians killed a resident of Kherson in the Dnipro district.
"As a result of artillery shelling, an elderly woman received fatal injuries incompatible with life. Her identity is currently being established. My condolences to her family and loved ones," he noted.
A 64-year-old woman was also injured in the attack. She was taken to the hospital with explosive and craniocerebral injuries, a concussion, and a shrapnel wound to the parietal area.
The Administration later reported that another resident of Kherson, who was injured by the Russian shelling in the Dnipro district, sought medical help. The 27-year-old man has a mine-explosive injury. Doctors are currently examining him.
