The Russian offensive on Sumy region is a move towards Kyiv, – MP Bezuhla

Member of Parliament Maryana Bezuhla expressed the opinion that the new advance of Russian troops in the Sumy region is not aimed at capturing Sumy, but at directly advancing towards the capital of Ukraine – Kyiv.

The parliamentarian stated this, drawing attention to the routes and distances.

"For those who haven’t noticed — the new Russian advance in the Sumy region is not an attack on Sumy, the regional center. This is an advance on Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. Physically, ideologically. Pay attention to the routes and distances," wrote Bezuhla.

According to her, the distance from the current positions of Russian troops in the Sumy region to Kyiv is about 300 kilometers.

In the opinion of the member of parliament, this situation became possible because the United States of America "removed barriers" for Russia by refusing the role of "world policeman."
