Putin announced that a new round of negotiations between Moscow and Kyiv is possible after June 22 (this date was already mentioned during the conversation between Putin and Trump).
According to him, he is ready to meet with Zelenskyy. However, in his opinion, such a meeting may be appropriate only at the final stage of negotiations — to "draw a line."
He also emphasized that "it’s important who will sign the documents," adding that there may be "problems" with Zelenskyy’s legitimacy in Kyiv. Nevertheless, he noted: "We don’t care who conducts the negotiations, even if it’s Zelenskyy."
The President of the Russian Federation also stressed that the situation for Kyiv "will become more complicated" if the conflict is not resolved diplomatically.
At the same time, he reported on the continuation of the humanitarian effort. Moscow has handed over more than 6,000 bodies of Ukrainian servicemen to Ukraine, receiving in return 57 bodies of Russian soldiers, and is ready to hand over more than 3,000. In this context, Putin considers it appropriate to continue the negotiations.
According to him, the Ukrainian and Russian negotiation groups maintain contact, and their representatives last communicated today.
