In the Fastiv district, a 45-year-old resident of the Kharkiv region organized an illegal enrichment scheme during martial law. He faces up to seven years of imprisonment.
This became known from a report by the Kyiv region police.
"Law enforcement officers established that under the guise of humanitarian aid for the defence forces, the man imported vehicles into Ukraine, which he subsequently resold to military personnel. In the village of Tarasivka, police detained the perpetrator during the illegal sale of two vehicles to a military serviceman for over 700,000 hryvnias," said the police press release.
It is stated that operational support was provided by employees of the Security Service of Ukraine in Kyiv and the Kyiv region.
Investigators, under the procedural guidance of the Fastiv district prosecutor’s office, informed the individual about the suspicion (part 2 of article 15, part 3 of article 201-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
