Another stage of the exchange of prisoners of war between Ukraine and Russia has taken place.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy published the first photos of the released soldiers. According to him, most of them spent more than two years in Russian captivity.
Among the freed are the defenders of Mariupol, Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhya, Kherson, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv regions. These are soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, and the State Border Service.
“Finally, they are home. I am grateful to everyone who works to bring our people back. We will continue exchanges until we bring everyone back,” Zelenskyy emphasized.
In the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, they assure that work does not stop, and new exchanges are expected in the future.
