In the afternoon of June 20th in the Industrialnyi District of Kharkiv, a serviceman was killed, and another was seriously injured due to the explosion of a scooter. One of the versions under investigation is that explosives were allegedly planted in the scooter "from volunteers" at the request of Russian intelligence services.
A 19-year-old Kharkiv resident is suspected of committing the terrorist act, reported by the regional prosecutor’s office and the Security Service of Ukraine. According to the investigation, she started communicating via Telegram with a Russian representative, who offered her money to carry out the task of blowing up Ukrainian servicemen.
On the morning of June 20th, she went to the park, took the keys from the scooter’s luggage compartment, and left the scene, according to the prosecutor’s office. Returning after lunch, she placed a backpack containing explosives in the trunk.

After being recruited, the agent received detailed instructions from her handler on how to manufacture an IED in "domestic" conditions. She then purchased household chemicals, a battery, wires, and two phones for remote detonation.
"The explosion occurred near a Kharkiv café, where the enemy lured the soldiers under the guise of delivering them a ’volunteer’ motor scooter. Using a camera hidden at the planned terrorist attack site, Russian intelligence services tracked the arrival of the servicemen at the location," according to the SBU message.
"The explosive power was about one kilogram in TNT equivalent. The casing was metal, with numerous fragments," according to the Kharkiv police message.
The girl was detained a few hours after the explosion. She was charged with committing a terrorist act by a group of persons in a preliminary conspiracy, resulting in the death of a person. The suspect was taken into custody without the right to post bail.
