In Zakarpattia, a bridge over the Zhdenivka River has collapsed: a temporary crossing is being arranged

In the Zakarpattia region, on a section of the state highway T-07-10 Uzhok — Nyzhni Vorota between the settlements of Pidpolozzya and Zhdeniyevo, a metal bridge structure has collapsed.

This was reported by the Agency for Restoration.

The incident involves a single-span 34-meter bridge built in 1962 over the Zhdenivka River.

The most recent inspection of the bridge was conducted this spring. Its condition was deemed satisfactory, with no visible damage or hazardous areas detected.

The investigation will establish the causes of the bridge span collapse and identify those responsible.

A temporary crossing over the river is already being set up at the site, with heavy machinery in operation.

The Agency assures that by the end of June 25, access for passenger vehicles and emergency service vehicles will be restored.

Currently, the settlements of Zhdeniyevo, Zbynya, Shcherbovets, Pashkivtsi, Bukovel, Perekhresny, Kicherny, and Roztoka can be reached via Uzhok.
