Ukraine has estimated the country’s reconstruction at one trillion dollars over 14 years — Shmyhal

The Ukrainian government estimates the costs of restoring and modernizing the country at one trillion dollars over 14 years.

This amount was mentioned by Prime Minister Shmyhal at the Ukraine Recovery Conference held in Rome.

Kyiv proposes to create two funds: the first — 540 billion, formed from confiscated Russian assets and a special tax on the export of raw materials from Russia; the second — 460 billion, based on investments from the European private sector in Ukrainian production.

The meeting also discussed "attracting financial support for the years 2026 and 2027."

"We are preparing for different scenarios," writes Shmyhal.
