Former Minister of Defence Rustem Umyerov has been appointed Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine.
The corresponding decree has been published on the President’s Office website.
"Appoint UMYEROV Rustem as the Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine," the decree states.
Previously, Umyerov held the position of Minister of Defence. At the same time, the president dismissed Oleksandr Lytvynenko from the position of secretary.
