Renowned American journalist Seymour Hersh reported that General Valeriy Zaluzhnyi is currently being considered as the most likely successor to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to Hersh, sources in Washington suggest that Zaluzhnyi could assume the presidency within a few months.
The journalist also stated that Zelenskyy is on the list of candidates for removal from office if former U.S. President Donald Trump decides to initiate such a step. In the event of Zelenskyy’s refusal to leave the post, an American official allegedly told Hersh: «He will be removed by force. It’s now up to him».
Hersh added that many politicians in Washington and Kyiv consider it necessary to stop the escalation of the air war with Russia as soon as possible, while there is still an opportunity to negotiate with President Vladimir Putin.
