100 women: Nearly 9,500 convicted individuals have joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine


Almost 9.5 thousand volunteers from among the convicted, including 100 women, have joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

This was reported by the  State Criminal Executive Service of Ukraine on Facebook.

"About 9 and a half thousand convicts are performing tasks at the front, including on the front line. However, not all of them are men. 100 women who have been sentenced are serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine."

It is noted that women are usually involved in communications, logistics, and medical support units.

Among the convicts currently in the Armed Forces, 55% were convicted of property crimes, 11% for crimes related to drug trafficking; 9% for causing bodily harm; 6% for committing traffic accidents with victims, and 6% for murders.
