Chernyshov denied the accusations and called the case against him "fabricated"

Former Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Chernyshov believes that there are no real grounds for accusations against him in the case. Regarding his trip abroad, he noted that it was one of his regular visits, and prior to it, he had not been informed of any suspicion or investigative actions.

Chernyshov stated this in a comment to hromadske.

The former official emphasizes that he “did not evade and did not intend to evade the investigation.” In particular, he noted that his assignments in recent months were official and regular.

Before the last assignment, he claims he was "neither formally nor informally" provided with information about any suspicion or investigative actions against him. Therefore, the statements that he will not return, Chernyshov considers "nothing more than an attempt to misinform the public."

"I will continue to defend my honor, name, and truth in a lawful manner. The case opened against me, I consider entirely fabricated. I see no real grounds for accusations—it concerns some imaginary discount, some book," he said.
