Syrskyi: Plans for the offensive on Kharkiv were revealed through conversations of Russian soldiers

The plans of the Russian occupiers regarding the offensive on Kharkiv in 2024 became known to the Ukrainian side, particularly thanks to the phone conversations of ordinary Russian soldiers.

This was reported by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi.

According to him, the enemy completely ignores information security rules — the military massively uses personal mobile phones. In conversations, they openly discussed their movements, command plans, and preparations for the offensive.

«They called each other from ordinary mobiles. They said they are now being taken out for rest, and then — for the offensive,» — noted Syrskyi.

He emphasized that this carelessness of Russian military personnel allowed the Armed Forces of Ukraine to timely prepare for attacks in the Kharkiv direction.
