Under the procedural guidance of the Saltivka District Prosecutor’s Office of Kharkiv city, a suspicion of official negligence causing severe consequences has been reported.
This is stated in a statement by the press service of the Kharkiv Prosecutor’s Office.
According to the investigation, in 2023, works were carried out to eliminate emergencies in the residential housing of an apartment building on Valentynivska Street in the Saltivka district of Kharkiv city, which was damaged as a result of Russian shelling.
The head of the municipal enterprise, who was entrusted with controlling the quality and volume of work performed, approved acts with false data without proper verification.
"Some of the works — particularly glazing of technical floors, wall painting, roof repair, and facade insulation — were either not carried out at all or were not completed in full," the statement reads.
According to the investigation, due to the official’s negligence, the territorial community suffered damage amounting to over 1.6 million UAH.
As of August 2025, the person involved in the case no longer holds the position they held at the time of the events.
