Azerbaijan allocates 2 million dollars for the purchase of electrical equipment for Ukraine. The corresponding decree was signed today, August 11, by President Ilham Aliyev.
This is reported in a statement by the press service of the President of Azerbaijan.
"Due to the difficult situation that has developed in Ukraine in recent years, the Azerbaijani state has repeatedly sent humanitarian aid to the Ukrainian people," they noted, recalling that relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Ukraine are developing on the principles of friendship and partnership, based on bilateral agreements and declarations.
"I decree that for the purchase and dispatch of electrical equipment produced in the Republic of Azerbaijan, with the aim of providing humanitarian aid to Ukraine, funds in the manat equivalent of 2.0 (two) million US dollars be allocated to the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan from the reserve fund of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as provided in the state budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2025," the decree of Aliyev states.
The Ministry of Finance of Azerbaijan is obliged to ensure financing, and the Cabinet of Ministers must "resolve issues arising from this Decree."
