Malyuk: The SSU misinformed traitor Kozyura when he was passing information to the Russian Federation

The Head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Vasyl Malyuk, shared details about the case of the traitor Dmytro Kozyura, who headed the Anti-Terrorist Center’s headquarters. The SSU had to literally "live" next to him, tracking his actions and developing an operation to expose him, which required creating fabrications. Kozyura transmitted data to Russian special services, who "were pleased", considering it valuable information.

Meanwhile, Kozyura’s case is progressing according to the Criminal Procedure Code, and he has agreed to cooperate with the investigation by providing testimony. Details were shared by Vasyl Malyuk in an interview with the "Mi-Ukraina" TV channel, which was published on August 12.

When the journalist asked the head of the SSU about the arrest of the "traitor" Kozyura, inquiring about the course of the investigation, Malyuk admitted that it took a long time to document his actions.

"Well, he is truly an outstanding traitor. We documented him for a long time; a complex of challenging, secret, and technical operational measures was conducted," Malyuk noted.

According to him, the special services literally "lived" with Kozyura, watching him around the clock and controlling his actions. They monitored, in particular, the apartment where the traitor specifically went to make contact with Russian services.

During the monitoring of Kozyura’s actions, the SSU conducted 14 disinformation campaigns against the enemy. In Russia, they were pleased with this data, considering it valuable and truthful.

"We controlled the information we passed to him, which he sent to the opposing side. The FSB was applauding, thinking they had received significant data," Malyuk shared.

In reality, the Russians were being misled, added the head of the SSU.

When Kozyura was detained, he was informed that it would be better to cooperate with the investigation, as it could lead to an exchange for defenders held in Russian captivity. If Kozyura did not agree, he would face life imprisonment, Malyuk explained.

"Therefore, he detailed everything, handed over gadgets and communication methods," informed the head of the SSU.

Malyuk also noted that Dmytro Kozyura was recruited by Russian special services back in 2018 in Vienna.
