Zelenskyy should "make a deal," - Trump

US President Donald Trump advised Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to "make a deal" with Russia. He made this statement after meeting with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin in Alaska.

This was reported citing an interview of the American president with Fox News.

"Make a deal. You need to make a deal. Listen, Russia is a very great power. And they are not. They are wonderful soldiers (referring to Ukrainians, - ed.)," Trump said to a Fox News journalist.

He also, in his typical manner, reminded that during his first presidency he provided Ukraine with American anti-tank missiles "Javelin".

"But, you know, they also had the best equipment. You know, they had our equipment. And I gave them the ’Javelins’, if you remember, during my first term," added the US President.

At the same time, Trump believes that a meeting between Zelenskyy, Putin, and himself could happen quite soon. However, he did not specify whether this might occur, for example, within a month.

"Both Zelenskyy and Putin want me at their meeting. I will be there," Trump said.
