Zelenskyy announced the arrest of a suspect in the murder of Andriy Parubiy

The suspect in the murder of Andriy Parubiy has been detained.

This was reported by Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

"Ukraine’s Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko and the head of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasyl Malyuk just reported the detention of the suspect in the murder of Andriy Parubiy. Necessary investigative actions are underway. I instructed to present the available information to the public. Thank you to law enforcement for the prompt and coordinated work. All circumstances of this horrific murder must be clarified," Zelenskyy reported.

"The suspected shooter was detained a few minutes ago in the Khmelnytskyi region. Not many details will be provided right now. I will only say that the crime was carefully planned: the schedule of the deceased’s movements was studied, a route was mapped out, and an escape plan was devised," Klymenko reported.

Police and SSU officers were on the direct trail of the shooter 24 hours after the incident, and within 36 hours, they detained him. More details will be provided later by the police.

The SSU clarified that the assassination attempt on Parubiy was meticulously prepared.

The perpetrator studied the deceased’s schedule of movements, mapped out the route, and prepared an escape plan.
