In Ukraine, "DIY" vape liquids have been banned

In Ukraine, "DIY mixes" for vapes have been banned. The president signed the law.

«DIY mixes» — liquids that users independently mix and fill into vapes — are now prohibited. This restriction is stipulated by the law «On Integrated Prevention and Control of Industrial Pollution». The document also prohibits the free distribution of nicotine and closes the popular scheme with «constructors», where the buyer pays only for the legal component and receives the rest «as a gift».

According to the journalist Yevhen Plinskyi: «Now it has become more realistic to shut down vape stalls for schoolchildren».

Violators will be fined 200% of the product’s value, but no less than 24,000 UAH. Despite the ban on flavored vapes since July 2024, the black market is only growing. According to estimates, the budget loses up to 5 billion UAH annually.
