The EU has provided Ukraine with an additional 1 billion euros as part of the ERA initiative

Ukraine received another 1 billion euros from the European Union. The funds are part of the EU’s contribution within the G7 countries’ initiative.

This was stated by Prime Minister Yuliya Svyrydenko in Telegram.

"This tranche is funded from the profits of the frozen assets of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation," she wrote.

ERA implies directing 50 billion dollars to Ukraine, which will be secured by future revenues from frozen Russian assets. The EU’s contribution amounts to 18.1 billion euros (20 billion US dollars).

In total, under the ERA initiative, the European Union has already provided 10 billion euros.

Ukraine’s Ministry of Finance expects the rest of the funds from the EU to be received in parts by the end of 2025.

The total amount of aid to Ukraine from the EU since the beginning of the Russian invasion in 2022 has reached 170 billion euros.
