Spokesperson of the AFU: Russians may intensify their offensive towards Stupochky

The Russians may intensify offensive actions in the direction of Stupochky — a settlement that experts call the "gateway to Kostyantynivka."

This was assured by the spokesperson of the 11th Army Corps, Lieutenant Colonel Dmytro Zaporozhets, in the broadcast of "We - Ukraine" program.

He emphasized that such a scenario is possible in case of enemy successes from the side of Dyliivka and Oleksandro-Shultyne.

"If we consider, so to speak, the situation around these two settlements, then the operational zone of Stupochky is our area, and other army corps are responsible for the nearby settlements. We fully cooperate with our ’neighbors’ to prevent any offensive actions on this section of the front and not allow the enemy to conduct active assault operations, considering the fact that there is a road leading to the settlement of Kostyantynivka. Thus, we are taking measures such as mining, constant monitoring with the help of aerial reconnaissance, and preventing the enemy from massing in this area to continue offensive actions. However, with possible accumulation of personnel, including personnel rotation on this section of the front, one can again expect the activation of assault actions in this territory," Zaporozhets noted.
