The enemy does not abandon attempts to assault the forward positions of the Defence Forces in the Lyman direction. This direction remains a priority for the Russians.
This was reported by Vasyl Denysyuk, junior sergeant of the 66th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Mstislav the Brave.
According to him, more and more often, the attacks take the form of infiltrations through the brigade’s combat formations. The enemy tries to bypass our forward positions and enter the rear with assault groups. There, they find any suitable places to hide and accumulate.
"One of the key tasks set by their command is to reach our positions of mortarmen and UAV operators. It is these means that cause the most problems for Russian assault groups. Therefore, the Russian command places great emphasis on forcing a shooting battle on our operators and mortarmen," said the junior sergeant of the 66th SMB.
Currently, the sky is literally filled with enemy drones. Similarly, UAVs accompany Russian infantrymen during assault actions. Most of these groups are destroyed even on the approaches.
"The nights have become colder. We see the use of tents by enemy groups for movement. Russian infantrymen get into the tents and regularly take in cold air to avoid being seen by thermal imaging drones. Such a tactic exists," noted Vasyl Denysyuk.
