Fighters of the "Skelya" regiment returned the Ukrainian flag to the village of Filiya, located in the Dnipropetrovsk region on the border with Donetsk.
This is reported in a video by the 425th Separate Assault Regiment "Skelya."
As the military personnel explained, Russian saboteurs infiltrated the village intending to carry out a "PR stunt" — to hang their flag on one of the houses.
According to the commander of the battalion "Shkval" with the call sign "Sobor," two groups of Ukrainian fighters were dispatched to clear the village of Russian saboteurs, suppressing the enemy with small arms and grenades. Meanwhile, the occupiers attacked using drones.
During their return from the combat mission, one of the groups engaged in battle once more. The fighters neutralized one occupier, capturing his documents as a trophy.
"Sobor" added that a significant portion of the "Shkval" fighters are conditionally early released individuals who joined the army as volunteers.
