Today, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed an order to bestow the title of Hero of Ukraine on the deceased Member of Parliament Andriy Parubiy.
"For personal courage and heroism displayed in the defence of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and for devoted service to the Ukrainian people, I decree:
To confer the title of Hero of Ukraine with the award of the "Golden Star" order to AFANASYEV Hennadiy Serhiyovych — senior soldier (posthumously)," the order states.
