As a result of the Russian shelling of an energy facility in Slavutych, the Chernobyl NPP was left in a blackout.
This was reported by the Ministry of Energy on Telegram.
The Ministry reported that the enemy shelling of the energy infrastructure in Slavutych, Kyiv region, led to an emergency situation at the facilities of SSE "Chernobyl NPP".
"As a result of voltage surges, the New Safe Confinement, which is a key facility isolating the destroyed fourth reactor unit of the Chernobyl NPP and preventing the release of radioactive materials into the environment, was left without power supply," the Ministry of Defence reported.
