Zelenskyy spoke about the first agreements in Denmark

Copenhagen has provided over 360 million euros for Ukrainian production under the Danish model, as well as 90 million euros for American weapons for Ukraine under the PURL initiative.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy began his work at the European Political Community Summit in Copenhagen with a meeting with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen. The Ukrainian leader announced this on Telegram on Thursday, October 2.

"We discussed the implementation of the PURL initiative and Denmark’s further participation in this program. We highly appreciate Denmark’s contribution of 90 million euros. I thank Denmark for the military aid package of over 360 million euros for Ukrainian production under the Danish model. I am sincerely grateful to Prime Minister Frederiksen and the Danish people for their strong support," noted the head of state.

In addition, the leaders discussed recent violations of the airspace of Denmark, Poland, Romania, Norway, and Estonia. According to Zelenskyy, Russia continues to escalate, so they discussed how to respond to these threats.

"We have repeatedly proposed a joint, integrated air defense system. The experience of Ukrainian specialists and Ukrainian technologies should become an important part of the European Union’s Drone Wall initiative. Currently, a strong group of Ukrainian military personnel is in Denmark, assisting their Danish colleagues," added the president.
